FOR MR. PASKIN'S SIGNATURE

Sir,

I am directed to inform you that an application has been received from a gentleman named John Wilson of 3 Bonnington Road, Peebles, in connection with the possible appointment at a later date of a Registrar for Hong Kong University.

It is the intention that a small Advisory Committee should be established in the near future to represent the University and to undertake planning and make recommendations for its rehabilitation.

It is expected that this Committee will recommend the appointment of a full-time paid Secretary and possibly other officers to assist in studying the problems involved and making recommendations to the Committee in regard to such matters as the assembling of staff, the collection of equipment, and the priorities to be given to the re-establishment of the various faculties.

It would be appropriate for the Secretary to this Committee
